Getting Started with Mapping using Python & Leaflet In-Person / Online

This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners who want to create interactive maps using Python. You’ll learn step-by-step how to: 

  • Work with geographic data – bring in location data from files or online sources 

  • Add markers and shapes – highlight places, draw areas, and make your map interactive 

  • Use map layers – show or hide different sets of information on your map 

This workshop is intended for beginners curious about mapping or data visualization, anyone interested in exploring geographic data, and no prior experience with Python or mapping required!

In-person location is the Digital Lab located in Central Library Room 402.
