Google Scholar Hacks In-Person
While you may be familiar with Google Scholar as a way to use the Google search capabilities to find scholarly literature, you may not know all the tools that can help you link to VU resources, find other possible sources on a topic or research question, and be more precise in your searching. Learn about these features by signing up for the Google Scholar Workshop!
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to
- Set up Google Scholar to make sure that it is connecting to VU resources, both on and off campus
- Utilize “Cited By” and “Related Articles” features to uncover potential sources
- Create more precise, targeted searches in “Advanced Search” by limiting to a specific author, date, journal and more.
**Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptop to this session.
