Comprehensive Literature Search: Social Sciences In-Person

Searching the literature can seem overwhelming, especially making sure you’ve searched in all the possible places. How can you make sure you’re not missing something? How do you ensure you’ve examined all the important scholarship on a topic? Learn how to make the process less stressful by signing up for the “Comprehensive Literature Search” workshop!

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to

· Identify sources to search in the Social Sciences, including discipline specific databases, in order to ensure process is comprehensive

· Utilize a source’s reference list/bibliography to uncover potential sources

· Employ tools, such as Web of Science and Google Scholar, to discover sources that cite a particular article

· Request materials not available via the Vanderbilt Libraries

 

**Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptop to this session.
